Webdesigner Depot

Yes, this is technically a "web design" resource site, but it covers a ridiculous amount of other helpful topics previously untouched (as far as I know) like how to sell stock photos and they even touch on Photoshop resources like their post containing thirty popular Photoshop tutorials of 2008. The best part is, what they don't cover is still available there via linkage.

Sarah's Sketches

Comic art is a pretty distinctive genre. Torn between fine art and digital imagery, comic artists display their versatility through mediums from web comics to graphic novels to your favorite cartoons, all while mastering both raw illustration and image software in the process. This particular comic artist hosts her works on the blog called "Sarah's Sketches". Is her name Sarah? I dunno, but her work is fantastic. Take a look.

Action Method

Have you ever thought "hey, I need an online interface where I can organize and save all the tiny aspects of my ridiculously demanding projects"? Well, thanks to Action Method you can - for free. That's right, Action Method provides a free version of their project management service, designed specifically for creative projects. This means no tiny buttons, no stupid but mandatory input fields that you don't understand, and everything is clean and really easy to find. If you want to see the interface before you sign up, I've provided a link to a full-size screenshot of my own account second down on this post. I love you, Action Method.

FEATURES:

  • The design is clean and simple
  • There are no ads
  • It's an easy to use interface
  • Options are targeted toward creative projects
  • It's absolutely free

Tutorial9

When I first saw it my heart skipped a beat. The site design is enthralling, the content is clean and precisely laid out, and they cover pretty much everything you will possibly need to know about Photoshop. They touch on countless techniques by way of teaching you how to make holiday wreaths and other weird things, but from it you walk away with something new to apply to whatever you do in the future. Not to mention they also provide tips and resources regarding blogging, interface design, photography, and they even offer a bunch of neat freebies from Wordpress themes to Photoshop brushes.

LogoPond

Holy crap, logos! Okay, now that I've got that out of my system; let's move on to discuss the site. LogoPond is considered the best source for logo looking webwide. With a slogan like "Identity Inspiration" it's mostly self-explanatory. Basically how it works is you hit the wall, stare at your screen for 20 minutes, then go to LogoPond's gallery and sift through over 2,000 submitted logos to find some inspiration. Gotta love that LogoPond.

Color Jack

Tired of referencing poorly organized Jpegs of hexidecimal colors and their associated codes? Yeah, me too. Color Jack is a web-based hexidecimal code generator. Just click and drag around on the wheel and it will present you with six different colors and their codes in real time. I can't live without it so hopefully it'll make your head hurt less, too.

60 Actions

The cleverly domain-named Designm.ag is a general design blog with an incredible design for the blog itself. Though there isn't a heavy amount of content to speak of for the age of the blog, the posts they do have are both extensive and loaded with resources regarding the topic at hand. That being said, this is a post they made containing 60 Photoshop actions and links to their sources. Granted, most of them look exactly the same, but a few of them are definitely worth checking out.

Dzine Blog

Every designer reaches a point where the creative well runs dry, leaving them sitting before the computer screen in a red-eyed comatose state. Nevertheless, there are ways to break the block before the drooling sets in. While stumbling (more on StumbleUpon later) I ran into this blog post featuring 54 very inspired logos, some of which are humbling in their awesomeness. Every good idea is spawned from another, so see what you can spawn from these.
